Asake – Terminator
Asake shares his single terminator ahead of his forthcoming studio album “Mr Money with the vibe”. Since the release of his Eponymous EP; Olalade Asake has shaped his path to stardom. Asake has been on a stellar run of form having solidified his place on subsequent No.1 spots on the Apple Music NG Chart. The artist reigns supreme yet again with his highly anticipated love song “Terminator” produced by Magicstix. On the record, he sings on the lyrics “this your love get meaning for my body o – Sho ni power, boni ko wa elemi lo ma last” which directly translates to “this your love get meaning in my body – if you have power, come and show me but it’s only the strong that will last.”

The misconception of a decade-long run and MI is still able to deliver a classic tape. “The Guy” totals as MI Abaga’s 5th solo Album while he classifies 4 of those other releases as mixtapes. He enlists Global sensation Nas; Africa’s finest in Olamide, The cavemen, Duncan Mighty, Phyno, Bnxn, Jesse Jagz, Ice prince and rising sensation Tomi Owo. His album cuts across different genres while inducting AfroBeats as the mainstay. There’s a song for every mood and it tells a different story through the features enlisted. A true breath of fresh air and creative excellence amongst tape dropped this year.
Loti – Distance
“I need my space in the morning, I want a break from the cuddling” “you called me twice I’m recording” Loti expresses his detachment to an intimate partner while crediting his lack of time and access to his music and imminent success. He features Kasheefah; an alternative R&B singer who matches the synergy effortlessly.
Lobi – Satisfy
On this record Satisfy; Lobi dives head-first into the inescapable mid-tempo Afropop sound. “Satisfy” Skates through the new musical territory for Lobi but he eases through while his arresting vocals seamlessly float over the dreamy beat as he explores the feeling of wooing his newfound love interest. This record was co-written by Nathan Shaiyen and produced by Lobi himself.
Idahams x Ajebo Hustlers – Bad Girl
Idahams and Ajebo hustlers share a strong synergy in this new Afro soul cult classic record produced by Yussy Beats. The pair sings about their witty indulgence with their muse who’s ready to reciprocate the energy. The sonics of this record poses to hold your repeat button hostage.
Drummr Africa x Kibra – Nile
Eritrean/Canadian and Toronto-based singer/songwriter Kibra has just released a new single titled “Nile” in collaboration with Drummr Africa. Nile is the first single to be released off Drummr Africa’s forthcoming collective art and music project, Yamen Yamen, expected to be out on September 15th.
